It’s the most wonderful time of year to visit Bournemouth with festive events running from mid-November until early January. Christmas markets, dazzling light trails, Ice skating, snow fall and more, Bournemouth has it all to get you into the Christmas spirit!

Below, we've outlined everything that's happening in Bournemouth this Christmas, so you can make the most of your day in this festive haven by the sea.

Let It Snow ☃️

If you're dreaming of a White Christmas, come down to Bh2 Leisure from the 28th November to 4th January, and enjoy the snow that’ll be falling every day. Is there a better way to finish your Christmas day out than by seeing snow?

Located at the entrance of Bh2 Leisure (outside of The Real Greek restaurant), it will snow for 4 minutes. See all dates and times HERE.

Christmas Wonderland 🎄

Christmas Tree Wonderland, a spectacular Christmas trail with enchanting illuminations, is bringing Bournemouth to life over the festive season. The Gardens and the wider town will play host to a variety of lighting features and installations stretching all the way from the Seafront and through the Square, up to the Triangle, Beale Place, Horseshoe Common and the Lansdowne roundabout.

Walk-through the magical Bournemouth Wonderland Trees to behold the regular light and audio shows. Explore the festive trail featuring replica Christmas trees from countries around the world, plus a multitude of captivating illuminations and installations.

Christmas Markets 🎅

Grab a hot chocolate or mulled wine, and take a stroll around The Alpine Market and into the Alpine Lodge Bar in the Square.
Browse the wide range of handmade and locally produced gifts, and pick up a Christmas gift or two for a loved one. Afterwards, indulge in some treats and drinks from the many stalls serving bratwurst sausages, roasted chestnuts, churros, waffles, traditional hog roasts and a pastries! You will be truly spoilt for options.

Take in the great atmosphere and festive flare, and enjoy live entertainment from local choirs, bands, artists, performers, and entertainers.

The markets are open from 13th November until 31st December, and will be available to visit daily from 11am ‘til late!

Ice Skating ⛸

Skate Ice Rink is back from the 13th November! Whether you’re an ice skating professional or a beginner, you will have a very merry time.
Toddler time on weekday mornings, family tickets and group bookings for celebrations and parties, are all available. So get your skates on, and book ahead to avoid disappointment.

After the skating has you tired you out, sip a festive drink in the Moguls Alpine Bar and watch skaters go by. The huge undercover bar hosts VIP booths and cosy seating and weekend DJs. Festive fun for everyone!

The rink is located beside Bh2 Leisure in Bournemouth's Lower Gardens, that's been magically brought to life for the Christmas season.
