Bee Mission | Charity of the Year: Meet Serge & Zina

A love of bees brought them together. Now, they're helping create a brighter future for both people and pollinators.

Serge and Zina are the beekeeping duo behind Bee Mission, Bh2's Charity of the Year. Through the Community Interest Company (CIC), they're supporting bee populations across the south of England while helping to improve the lives of people experiencing homelessness in Bournemouth.

So, who are the people behind the honey? Let's meet Serge and Zina.

Serge has always been passionate about bees, he has his own hives and trained to become a beekeeper in 2012. Zina met Serge in 2019, they became friends and she started to help him with the bees.

Love blossomed as Zina joined Serge on weekend trips to look after the bees and they were soon married. Zina now looks after the bees full time with Serge and is responsible for processing the honey.
